A Comprehensive Review on Brushless Doubly-Fed Reluctance Machine

The Brushless Doubly-Fed Reluctance Machine (BDFRM) has been widely investigated in numerous research studies since it is brushless and cageless there no winding on the rotor of this emerging machine. This feature leads to several advantages for machine comparison with its induction counterpart, i.e., Induction (BDFIM). Less maintenance, less power losses, also more reliability are major BDFRM compared BDFIM. design complexity reluctance rotor, as well flux patterns indirect connection between two windings mounted stator including control winding, have restricted development technology. In literature, not a comprehensive review related BDFRM. paper, previous reviewed from different points view, such operation, design, control, transient model, dynamic factor, Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT), losses. It revealed that still evolving theoretical results shown operates efficiently if well-designed.
